R.A. Jones streamlines cartoner design, setup and changeover times, and machine cost in a customer-driven, total re-engineering of its Criterion cartoner line.

The new Criterion 3 large center cartoner brings breakthrough sanitary design—in form and functionality—to global packaging lines. Developed with extensive customer input at multiple stages through the process, the Criterion 3 meets market needs for greater packaging flexibility and faster changeovers, easier operation and clean-up, reduced maintenance and downtime, even shorter lead times, installation and start-up. 

Available in a constant motion model on 9" and 12" centers with speeds up to 330 cartons/minute, the Jones Criterion 3 large center cartoner features debris fall-through design on a fully welded, stainless steel frame.  Full access perimeter guarding with hinged full length doors provide unmatched machine access and operator ergonomics.

Offering fast, repeatable changeovers, the Criterion 3 can accommodate a wide range of chipboard cartons utilizing Jones rotary carton feed system.  An ergonomic low level carton magazine and open flap detect and reject come standard on the Criterion 3 from Jones.  Options include cycle stop flap closers, date coding by deboss or laser, coupon and premium inserts, and product infeeds. 

State-of-the-art control technology using Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC and Panelview 1500 Plus Touch Screen Interface assure high levels of precision in flexible production operations.  Servo drives provide absolute feedback on positioning accuracy, while enabling programmability for fast changeovers between different carton configurations.
